Creating smooth strokes
Predictive Stroke and Steady Stroke provide two different ways to improve the smoothness of your line work.
Predictive Stroke
This tool analyzes your freehand input to update the stroke.
You can adjust the sensitivity of the tool using the slider. A setting of 1 will keep more of character from the original input and a setting of 5 will apply the most smoothing.
Predictive stroke will also detect common shapes and is useful to quickly create straight lines and ellipses.
Steady Stroke
Steady Stroke creates a lead-line that you guide your stroke with.
Setting the length of the lead using the slider provides you with control for the type of stroke your are making.
A shorter lead allows tighter turns in your stroke.
Longer lead helps produce long continuous curves.
Not only does the lead dampen small jitters that may come from your hand, it helps you slow down your stroke. This is useful when you are tracing or creating more precise line worl. allowing you to carefully adjust the direction and the amount of pressure you apply to your stylus to control line weight.
