6.2 update on Android and iOS
The latest update to Sketchbook on Android and iOS brings more new features to Sketchbook.
New layer adjustments have been added to the Premium Bundle - if you already have the Premium Bundle unlocked these new features are automatically added. You can find these options by tapping the “Adjustments” icon.
Blur - adjust blur of the active layer or selected area
Sharpen - adjust sharpness and the strength of the sharpness
Contrast and Brightness - adjustment of active layer or selected area
Grayscale - converts colors on active layer or selected area to black & white
Invert - inverts the colors on active layer or selected area
Improvements added to the core app available to everyone include a quality-of-life improvement many people have been asking for - the sliders in Brush Properties now allow numeric input for precision when you need it. Just tap the number above the slider and use the pop-up keyboard to enter the exact setting value you want.
Other additions to the Layer Menu for all Sketchbook users include:
Copy Merge - copies the combined effect of all visible layers as a single merged image. Access with a tap-hold on the Copy icon.
Delete Hidden Layers
Merge Visible layers
With phone devices getting larger over the years, we’ve continued to make changes to give the phone layout some of the UI options that the Sketchbook has on a tablet. We still have to be careful because not everyone’s phone has a large screen. But in this update we’ve added an option to pin the Layer Editor open on phone devices. We’ve also added the shortcut to the active color palette to the phone Layer Editor, just as in the tablet version.
More updates coming soon!
