What version of Autodesk SketchBook am I running?

Are you trying to figure out what version of SketchBook you have installed? If so, find the platform you are running and follow the instructions.

Finding the SketchBook for Desktop version number

Read the section for the platform you’re on:

For Windows users

In the menu bar, select Help > About SketchBook. The version number will appear below the product name, but above the box of legal text.

In the menu bar, select SketchBook > About SketchBook. The version number will appear below the product name, but above the box of legal text.

Finding the SketchBook for Mobile version number

Read the section for the platform you’re on:

iOS

If you are on an iOS device:

1. Select Settings, then scroll down and select the SketchBook icon.

2. To your right, tap the first option, About.

3. Next to Version will be the version of SketchBook you’re running.

or depending on your OS:

1. Select Settings and then scroll down and tap on the SketchBook icon.

2. To the right (below the Restore Preferences option) is the version number.

Android

If you are on an Android device:

1. Select Menu icon in the mobile version of SketchBook > Preferences, then scroll down to the bottom and tap About.

2. Under the name of the product, you will see Version Number.

Finding your iPad version

If you are worried your device might be too old, here is how to find out the version you have.

For an iPad mini:

  1. Look at the back of your iPad mini.
  2. 2 lines below where it says iPad, is where you can find your model #. It will start with an A and will have 4 numbers after it.
  3. Take that number and look for it on this page. It will tell you the year or gen of your device.

For an iPad Pro:

  1. Look at the back of your iPad.
  2. Below where it says iPad, you can find your model # at the end of the first line. It will start with an A and will have 4 numbers after it.
  3. Take that number and look for it on this page. It will tell you the year or gen of your device.

Finding the SketchBook for Windows 10 version number

On Windows 10, you can run two different versions of SketchBook: SketchBook for Desktop and SketchBook for Windows 10.

SketchBook for Desktop

To find the version of SketchBook for Desktop you’re running, in the app, select Help > About SketchBook. The About SketchBook dialog appears. It displays the version and build number.

SketchBook for Windows 10

To find the version of SketchBook for Windows 10 you’re running, select Menu icon >Preferences in SketchBook Windows 10 to access your preferences. Tap About. At the top of the page, below the Autodesk SketchBook icon, you’ll find the version number.
