How to use SketchBook Extras

SketchBook Extras pane in SketchBook labelled

These are downloadable content exclusive to SketchBook subscribers and trial users. The SketchBook Extras pane contains weekly updated downloadable content, such as brush packs. When downloaded, the new brush packs instantly appears below the current active brush set in your Brush Library.

1. Type of SketchBook Extra to indicate the type of “extra”

2. SketchBook Extra’s name (in this case, Free Brushes: Giuseppe di Girolano’s Set)

3. Blog link to find out more about the extra

4. Download button to automatically download and install the extra

Using SketchBook Extras in SketchBook for Desktop

From the menu bar, select Window > SketchBook Extras to access the SketchBook Extras.

Loading brushes using SketchBook Extras

  1. Select Window > SketchBook Extras to access the pane.
  2. Tap-drag to scroll through the content.
  3. Tap SketchBook Extras Download button , next to the extra you want to automatically downloads and installs it. The Download Center appears, showing your download progress.

  4. When finished, it will say Completed! If the extra is a brush pack, it will appear in your Brush Library. If your library isn’t open, tap the Show in Brush Library link to open it to see the new set.

  5. A download list appears below the Download Center listing what’s been successfully downloaded, needs to be retried, or should be updated.

Using SketchBook Extras in SketchBook for Mobile

SketchBook for Mobile currently doesn’t support the importing of brushes.

Using SketchBook Extras in SketchBook for Windows 10 (Pro)

New Brushes strip in the Brush Library in SketchBook for Windows 10

In the Brush Library, you’ll see the New Brushes strip. Tap it to open SketchBook Extras for the first time.

**After that, select Windows icon in SketchBook for Windows 10 > SketchBook Extras to access the SketchBook Extras. These are downloadable content exclusive to SketchBook subscribers and trial users. The SketchBook Extras pane contains weekly updated downloadable content, such as brush packs. When downloaded, the new brush packs instantly appears below the current active brush set in your Brush Library.

Loading brushes using SketchBook Extras

  1. Select Windows icon in SketchBook for Windows 10 > SketchBook Extras to access the pane.
