Solutions for SketchBook crashes

If you have experienced a crash in an Autodesk SketchBook product, please look for the scenario that best describes your situation. You’ll find solutions for yet unresolved SketchBook crashes.

SketchBook crashes on File > Open, Save, or Add Image on Dell Computers

If you are experiencing crashes when opening or saving a file or using Add Image and you are on a Dell Computer, please uninstall the Dell Backup and Recovery and Alienware Respawn software.

1. From your Start menu, select Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.

Depending on the OS you are running, the path could be Control Panel Programs and Features.

2. Find Dell Backup and Recovery.

3. Select it and right-click to select Uninstall.

4. Now, find Alienware Respawn, select it, right-click and select Uninstall.

SketchBook may crash on Mac OS 10.10.x / 10.11.x using Autodesk Screencast

For users of Maya, Fusion 360 & SketchBook on Mac OS X, you may experience crashing if you are using Autodesk Screencast [1.4].  To resolve this issue, please update to the latest version of Autodesk Screencast [2.0.0].
