How to add to a selection

When making a selection, sometimes you don’t grab everything the first time. When this happens, instead of re-selecting everything, use Add To icon in the Windows 10 version of Autodesk SketchBook  Add. This way, all you need to select is whatever you missed the first time.

Adding to a selection in SketchBook for Desktop

  1. Once you’ve made a selection, tap Add To icon in the Windows 10 version of Autodesk SketchBook, then either tap-drag to add to your selection or for Magic Wand selection, tap other areas.

    If Magic Wand was selected, increase the Tolerance to add pixels to your selection, then tap the canvas again to see the change.

  2. Tap Tap this to exit the Selection mode in the Windows 10 version of Autodesk SketchBook to accept the changes and exit the tool.

Adding to a selection in SketchBook for Mobile

If you are on a 32-bit device, your selection interface will be different from 64-bit devices. For information on the version you have, see the sections below:

For SketchBook v.4.0 or above users

  1. Once you’ve made a selection, tap Replace iconAdd icon, then either tap-drag to add to your selection or for Magic Wand selection, tap other areas.
  2. Tap Finished selection icon to accept the changes or X to decline.

For SketchBook v.3.7.4 or below users

  1. Once you made a selection, tap Selection editing tools icon in the mobile version of SketchBookAdd To icon in the mobile version of SketchBook, then either tap-drag to add to your selection or for Magic Wand selection, tap other areas.

    If Magic Wand was selected, increase the Tolerance to add pixels to your selection, then tap the canvas again to see the change.

  2. Tap OK to accept the changes or X to decline.
