Apple has announced their Best of 2016 list for apps on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV and Mac. Every year applications are selected by App Store editors for the award. This year, Apple also provided 10 Best Apps of the Year and 10 Best Games of the Year’ lists on the iOS App Store and Apple TV App Stores.
We are elated to find that SketchBook Motion was chosen as iPad App of the Year for 2016.
Here’s what the App Store Editors had to say:
Animation is anything but easy. That is, unless you’re using our 2016 iPad App of the Year. SketchBook Motion’s first trick is ditching insider terms like “keyframe” and “timeline” — instead opting for wonderfully natural words like “wind” and “rain”. It’s SO much easier for us to wrap our heads around, and the simple tutorials and excellent samples help, too. Of course, it’s got Apple Pencil support — it even offers an iMessage App so we can share animation in a flash.
Receiving this award is a huge honor. Everyone involved in the development of the application is extremely grateful for the recognition. We are all very proud of what SketchBook Motion has accomplished in such a short period of time.
SketchBook Motion is an amazing tool. Adding animation to your sketches in very intuitive ways makes this app really powerful. But most importantly: SketchBook Motion is fun.
If you haven’t tried SketchBook Motion, or even heard of it, it’s free for download in the iOS App Store. Head on over there to go get it, now. If you already have a SketchBook membership, you have full access to all of the features Motion has to offer.
We’d like to extend a sincere congratulations to all the apps selected for the Best of 2016 Awards, and a big, big THANK YOU to Apple for choosing SketchBook Motion as the iPad App of the Year for 2016!
