Drawing Challenge: March of Robots

March of Robots

Who’s up for a little challenge? Who amongst you loves robots? Any fun lovers in this crowd?

In the past we’ve participated in drawing challenges like Inktober because we love the idea of consistently challenging ourselves. You don’t need to plan to draw (that sounds like a chore), but it’s much easier to fight the forces of complacency and procrastination when you have a ready-to-go drawing theme already picked out for you. In this case, robots.

March of Robots drawing challenge
Some of the robots from the creator of this challenge @chocolatesoop. Clearly, this man knows robots.

Consider joining in the March of Robots, a sketch challenge hosted on Instagram and created by Dacosta (aka @chocolatesoop), a self-taught artist in Vancouver whose entire goal with this project is to 1) celebrate all manner of robots and 2) have some fun. This challenge values getting drawing done more than drawing every day. Make your own commitment to yourself about what you’ll do (even one robot per week works) and keep that commitment to yourself.

But, please don’t keep the drawings to yourself. Post them on Instagram with the suggested hashtags #marchofrobots and #marchofrobots2017 to join in. While you’re at it, we’d love you to tag drawings made with our app #autodesksketchbook so we can enjoy them, too.

Win a Wacom Intuos Device

Dacosta is giving away four Wacom Intuous Art Creative Pen and Touch Tablets in a drawing at the end of March, and it’s pretty easy to be considered. Just post at least four new drawings during the month, and you could win something to help you draw even better. Now that definitely sounds like fun. See you in the March of Robots!
