Everyone on the SketchBook team is saddened by the loss of life and destruction in Nepal. Our hearts and thoughts go out to those affected. It’s not too late to help – here’s a list of resources we’ve found from around the web:

Build Change empowers local communities to make their homes and schools safer by building local skills and stimulating local demand for better buildings. Their efforts in Nepal will be crucial in rebuilding damaged structures, and preventing loss of life for future generations. Donate here.

Save the Children is an international charity that has been in Nepal since 1976 and is therefore in an exceptional position to help after years of operating within the country, Save the Children spokesman Philip Carroll told TIME magazine. You can donate here.

The Red Cross has an international division that is supporting those in Nepal with critical first aid and support. You can donate here- be sure to select “Nepal Earthquake Relief.”

The creation of art can be part of the healing process, in more ways than one. In 2011, the SketchBook team collaborated with VIZ Media’s Perfect Square Imprint to raise money for the victims of the Japanese earthquake & tsunami, and we called it Art For Hope.

We want your help again. Send us your artwork and be a part of this effort to raise money for those in need. Viz Media will create a special e-book offered through their stores and we’ll be selling prints of the artwork as well – and all of the proceeds will go to help the victims in Nepal.

To have your art considered as part of this effort, send your images and the following information to sketchbook.call.for.art@autodesk.com:

  • 1 original artwork based on the theme of HOPE
  • Title of your piece
  • 50 word description on the intent of your piece
  • Your Bio
  • Contact information
  • Version of SketchBook used

Submissions must be received by June 25, 2015 to be considered for the anthology.
