may the 4th

It’s that day again — May the 4th. The faux holiday started gaining traction a few years back with the re-appearance of the Star Wars franchise, and it shows no signs of slowing down. Just about everybody loves Star Wars. Us included.

We’d love to see what you make today. Draw something that fits the Star Wars universe and share it to Instagram with the hashtag #autodesksketchbook. We’ll be digging through those and posting some of our favorites the rest of this week, with all the glory and credit going to you.

Some seriously sketchy drawings by Ken Lashley, one of our favorite comic book artists.

What Should I Draw?

You can make it ultra on point like Chris Uminga drew for us at a party one year, or you can make it fun and silly like Tony Helms and his Rogue One Countdown. The point is to get creative and draw something that either exists in Star Wars or that you think probably should. Anything goes, and everything’ works.
